The Washington State Department of Transportation is reporting the following construction activities on Interstate 5 in Lewis County:

I-5, Mellen Street to Blakeslee Junction – Stage 2
Mileposts: 79.81 to 84.15

  • Monday, March 14 to the morning of Friday, March 18: A single-lane of Harrison Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for striping work.
  • Monday, March 14 to the morning of Thursday March 17: Drivers should expect nighttime, intermittent, single-lane and shoulder closures on both directions of I-5, between Harrison Avenue and Mellen Street, nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for excavation, embankment and paving work.
  • Thursday, March 17 to the morning of Friday, March 18: Drivers should expect nighttime, intermittent, single-lane and shoulder closures on both directions of I-5, between Harrison Avenue and Mellen Street, nightly, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for excavation, embankment and paving work.
  • Friday, March 18 to the morning of Saturday, March 19: Drivers should expect nighttime, intermittent, single-lane and shoulder closures on both directions of I-5, between Harrison Avenue and Mellen Street, nightly, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., for excavation, embankment and paving work.
  • Friday, March 11 to the morning of Saturday, March 12: A single-lane of Harrison Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., for striping work.
  • Friday, March 18 to the morning of Saturday, March 19: A single-lane of Harrison Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., for striping work.

NOTES:

  • Drivers needing to access northbound I-5 should use alternate routes during the closures.
  • The northbound on-ramp to Mellen Street was recently removed from service.
  • Drivers should watch for traffic revision signs throughout the work zone.
  • All work is weather dependent.
