The Oregon Department of Transportation reports that motor carriers southbound on Interstate 5 may experience delays at the ODOT port of entry at Woodburn for the next few weeks.

Weigh-in-motion scales have malfunctioned, requiring most trucks to enter the weigh station causing occasional traffic backups at the scale. Trucks that normally pass the station using the Green Light Preclearance Program may be required to pull into the station. ODOT will close the weigh station when necessary to prevent traffic backups onto the freeway.

All drivers need to be aware of potential slowdowns when approaching the Woodburn facility.

ODOT has estimated the needed repair may not come until early to mid-August, so they appreciate your patience as they work on a solution and keep traffic moving.
