Seven Nights of Closures on Oregon I-5 Thru October 18

The Oregon Department of Transportation is reporting the following lane and ramp closures on Interstate 5 thru October 18:

Southbound I-5 closed on upcoming nights from the Fremont Bridge to the Marquam Bridge.

Southbound Interstate 5 will be closed for eight nights starting Saturday between the Marquam and Fremont bridges for ODOT’s ongoing I-5 paving and sign replacement project.

The southbound night closures will begin Saturday Oct. 10 and continue every night until early Sunday Oct. 18.

The closures will begin at 10 p.m. each night with all lanes open again by 5 a.m. weekdays and by 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Each night, the first lanes will close at 8 a.m. on-ramps will close at 9 p.m. with all I-5 lanes closed at 10 p.m.

During the closures:

– The ramp from southbound I-5 to eastbound Interstate 84 will be closed.
– The ramp from westbound I-84 to southbound I-5 will be open.
– The North Greeley Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5.

The I-5 Sign Replacement and Paving Project is replacing more than 300 green freeway signs from Southwest Corbett Avenue to North Lombard Street and repaving approximately seven miles of I-5 between Southwest Capitol Highway and the Marquam Bridge.
