The Washington State Department of Transportation reports the following maintenance operations on I-5 will result in shoulder closures in the following locations:
DuPont
TIME/DAYS: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday through Feb. 8. Overnight work hours are from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, from Jan. 4-15.
DESCRIPTION: Utility crews will install infrastructure.
LOCATION: Mounts Road on-ramp to northbound I-5 from milepost 116.7 to 116.9.
EXPECT: Right shoulder closure along the Mounts Road on-ramp to northbound I-5.
Lakewood
TIME/DAYS: 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, Jan. 4.
DESCRIPTION: Guardrail repair.
LOCATION: Southbound I-5 at Berkeley Street, milepost 122.45 to 122.35.
EXPECT: Right shoulder closure on the Berkeley Street on-ramp to southbound I-5.
Tacoma
TIME/DAYS: 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Jan. 5.
DESCRIPTION: Guardrail repair.
LOCATION: Northbound I-5 at 70th Ave. E, milepost 138.15 to 138.25.
EXPECT: Right shoulder closure on the 70th Ave. E. on-ramp to northbound I-5.
Lakewood
TIME/DAYS: 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Jan. 6.
DESCRIPTION: Attenuator repair.
LOCATION: Northbound I-5 at SR 512, milepost 127.8.
EXPECT: Left shoulder closure on the southbound I-5 exit to SR 512.
