The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that the I-5 northbound off-ramp at Exit 125 (Garden Valley) is scheduled to be closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, January 28-30, for construction.
A three-mile detour will be provided for the 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. closures. Northbound I-5 traffic can continue north and use Exit 127 (Edenbower) to turn around and approach Exit 125 from the southbound direction.
On Sunday night, contractors will install guardrail along the ramp. The following two nights are scheduled for paving, which is weather dependent and could be postponed due to rain. Roadside message boards are in place and will provide updated closure information.
The closures are part of a $2.4 million project that will add a dedicated right-turn lane to the northbound off-ramp, helping to ease congestion and improve safety at the interchange. The project will also replace the traffic signal and upgrade sidewalk curb ramps.
