I-5 Lane, Ramp Closures, Detours in King County Continue This Week

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announces ongoing overnight lane and ramp closures along I-5 in the SeaTac, Des Moines, and Kent areas from Monday, November 4 to Friday, November 8. These closures are part of essential infrastructure improvements under the State Route 509 Completion Project.

Work crews will place concrete barriers and install guardrails on I-5 during these hours. Additionally, local road lanes in SeaTac will be intermittently closed to facilitate necessary enhancements from Monday through Friday of the same week.

I-5 Lane Closure Details 

Monday, November 4 through Tuesday, November 5
9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 will close overnight between SR 516 (Exit 149) and South 200th Street/Military Road South (Exit 151).

Tuesday, November 5 through Wednesday, November 6
9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Up to three lanes of northbound I-5 will close overnight between SR 516 (Exit 149) and South 200th Street/Military Road South (Exit 151).

11:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Up to three lanes of southbound I-5 will close overnight between South 200th Street/Military Road South (Exit 151) and SR 516 (Exit 149).

Wednesday, November 6 through Friday, November 8
9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 will close nightly between SR 516 (Exit 149) and South 200th Street/Military Road South (Exit 151).

11:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Up to two lanes of southbound I-5 will close nightly between South 200th Street/Military Road South (Exit 151) and SR 516 (Exit 149).

11:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
The northbound I-5 on-ramp from SR 516 will be closed nightly. A signed detour will be in place.
