The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reminds drivers to expect delays as crews work to repair potholes on I-5 caused by the winter ice storm.
Starting Thursday, January 25 at 7:30 a.m. crews will close the slow lane of I-5 just north of Eugene to repair multiple potholes. They will start on the northbound side at milepost 202 to milepost 204. Once the northbound work is completed, they will shift to the southbound side closing the slow lane at milepost 203 to milepost 201.
Traffic control will be in place around the work zone which will spread about a mile long. This work is weather dependent but should be completed in one day.
If you plan to travel this route Thursday, remember that this work will cause daytime delays. Plan ahead, allow yourself extra time and give our crews space. If you want to avoid the delays, consider an alternate route.
