California I-5 Carmenita Ramp Closed Thru October 21

The California DEpartment of Transportation reports that crews will close the southbound I-5 Carmenita Road off-ramp nightly through Friday, October 21 between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. This closure is needed as crews pave the southbound off-ramp shoulder. Detour: Motorists will be directed to exit southbound I-5 at Valley View Avenue.

Crews are continuing sandblasting work on the sound wall along Firestone Boulevard. This work will take place weekdays, through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will be ongoing for approximately one to two months. While work is being done on the soundwall, there will be no through access to Firestone Boulevard between Shoemaker Avenue and Dinard Avenue. No through access signs will be placed in the vicinity to alert motorists of the closures.
