The Port Angeles Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival, one of the most highly regarded seafood event in the country, has returned once again with its renowned “Crabtastic event!” CrabFest is a three-day celebration that highlights not just the culinary aspects, but also the aquaculture, agriculture, and maritime heritage of Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. Additionally, it showcases Native American culture, art, music, and children’s activities, making it a truly spectacular gathering.
Mark your calendar for the festival happening on October 6-8, 2023 from Friday to Sunday. Located at the Port Angeles City Pier, the Gateway Center, and the Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles Harbor parking lot. Entry is free of charge.
Food and Drink
Across the venue, 15 local and regional restaurants will offer a diverse range of dishes, featuring fresh options like Dungeness crab shooters and Caribbean Seafood Stew – a total of over 30 choices! There will also be meat and vegetarian selections, as well as a variety of wine, beer, and hard cider options.
Live Music, Crafts and More
Experience captivating live music within the new Field Hall waterfront theater. If you hold a CrabFest dinner ticket, you’ll receive a $5.00 discount on performances by the Ruth Moody Band and Sammy Miller & The Congregation.
Beyond the Field Hall shows, there will be three live music stages. Saturday highlights include a Welcoming Ceremony by the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, a United States Coast Guard Air and Sea Rescue Demonstration, and a Peninsula College 5K Fun Run. On Sunday morning, the Crab Gospel Revival returns, and over 70 carefully selected craftspeople, nonprofit organizations, and sponsor booths will be showcased on the pier throughout the festival.
