Bigger, Better and Wetter than ever, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is ready to keep Southern Californian’s cool all summer long. The park opened for the 20th season on Memorial Day weekend and introduced several exciting new additions to the popular water park.
Bonzai Pipelines, two impressive thrill slides that sit side-by-side, features a unique launching capsule system on Taboo Tower. After reaching the top of the five-story tower, guests step into the enclosed vertical capsule where the floor drops out beneath them, sending riders free-falling 40 miles-per-hour down the slide.Guests may pull up an inner tube or grab a lounge chair for the new Friday Flicks Dive-In Movies, featuring family-friendly movies in the Forgotten Seawave pool now through Labor Day beginning at 6 p.m. The new Crow’s Nestfood location nearby will offer hot dogs and nachos. The popular Pirates Paradise continues to be the centerpiece of weekend live entertainment. For relaxation and privacy, Cabana Cove is a sprawling oasis featuring private rental cabanas with table, lounge chairs, food and beverage wait service and free tube rentals. Located next to Lizard Lagoon, Cabana Cove offers guests a bit more privacy and shade for their families and friends.

“Hurricane Harbor is the perfect summer spot for water lovers of all ages,” said Bonnie Rabjohn, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor park president. “We are excited to introduce two new thrill slides, Dive-in Movies and delicious new dining options this season. These additions are a natural complement to our existing blend of thrill slides and family adventure. We are delighted to be taking our water park to a new level of entertainment and value.”

Hurricane Harbor has something for everyone. Whether it’s sliding down one of the tallest speed slides in California or relaxing next to a pool, this 25-acre water oasis has all of your needs covered. Splash Island is fun for the entire family with its water slides, rain curtains and squirting effects to keep everyone cool in the hot California sun. Mom and dad can relax in nearby lounge chairs while keeping an eye on the little ones as they explore a variety of water play platforms and fountains throughout the structure.

On Tornado, riders begin their experience 75 feet in the air by blasting down a 132-foot long tunnel, leading to the mammoth, open-ended funnel. The ride’s specially designed 4-person cloverleaf shaped tubes hug the inside of the funnel, splashing back and forth on 5,000 gallons of swirling water into a cool catch pool below.

One of the most thrilling attractions in Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is Black Snake Summit, a 75-foot-tall tower featuring five speed water slides. Bamboo Racer is a unique six-lane racing attraction that places riders head first, side-by-side, on specially designed water toboggans, guests then speed down the 45-foot tall water slides.
