Morro Bay, California | I-5 Exit Guide

American actor Robin Williams must have been thinking of Morro Bay, CA when he so aptly said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!'” This year, rain or shine, Morro Bay, is the place to party over spring break offering the best in family fun and special packages.

Outdoor activities include the brand new Morro Bay Bike Park, a fun and exciting BMX Bike Park, or kayaking and paddle boarding the bay to party with sea life, or rent a surrey or beach cruiser and cycle out to the iconic Morro Rock. Indoor activities in Morro Bay include the interactive Museum of Natural History, located in Morro Bay State Park, right next to the Cormorant and Heron Rookery – a virtual year-round ecological party with birds. Stop by one of several educational museums and centers along the Embarcadero and party with the world’s biggest skateboard at the Morro Bay Skateboard Museum, or view aquariums of steelhead trout and eelgrass, and 3-D images of the estuary at the Estuary Nature Center. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Morro Bay Kite Festival, a FREE annual event for kite enthusiasts and families hosted on the beach just north of Morro Rock.
