The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that Sunday, January 12 and Monday, January 13, expect nighttime lane closures for a I-5 widening project between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road in Salem.
Crews will be working on the shoulder and will also be moving some barriers on I-5. Barriers, such as cones and barrels, help clearly define a lane and keep crews safer when working near moving traffic.Â
You can expect: Nighttime lane closures on north and southbound I-5 in the project area. Lane closures starting on northbound I-5 then moving to southbound I-5. Crews moving barriers – please slow down and use caution!
About the I-5 work…
Contractors shifted both directions of I-5 traffic while we widen southbound to three lanes, build two sound walls, remove and replace two bridges and pave both south and northbound lanes.
In general, you can expect:Â Crews working during the day and at night. Construction noise. Lane, shoulder and ramp closures as needed.Â
