The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reports ramp closures on I-5, this week. Additionally, there will be long-term rest area closures. All work is weather dependent and subject to change. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
- Full closure of the Sperry Avenue on and off ramps on northbound I-5 exit 434, for a paving operation beginning Thursday, July 11 through Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.
Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment and materials availability, and construction-related issues.
