The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that drivers will see work in the area this week as they start construction on the I-5 Aurora-Donald Interchange (exit 278) in Aurora.

I-5 travelers can expect:

  • Crews working nightly, Sunday through Thursday with occasional weekend work.
  • Up to two lanes closed nightly in either direction on I-5 from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Other roads in the project area to have single lane closures as needed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Construction noise and delays.

In early June, contractors will shift traffic to make room for crews to work in the I-5 median.
