Southbound I-5 Traffic Shift in Tacoma

The Washington State Department of Transportation reports that overnight Friday, June 28, contractor crews shifted three lanes of southbound I-5 on to the new northbound I-5 Puyallup River Bridge. Drivers who use Port of Tacoma Road to southbound I-5 and the southbound I-5 exit 135 to SR 167 and Portland Avenue will also see temporary changes.

LOCATION: Southbound I-5 at Port of Tacoma Road (milepost 136) in Fife.

DETAILS: The Port of Tacoma Road on-ramp to southbound I-5 and the southbound I-5 exit 135 to SR 167 and Bay Street will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 29.

The SR 167 on-ramp to southbound I-5 will reopen as scheduled by 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29.
