I-5 Sacramento River Bridge Work Scheduled to Begin Soon

Sacramento River Bridge | I-5 Exit Guide

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 2 and Golden State Bridge, Inc. are planning for work on sections of the Sacramento River Bridge on I-5 in Red Bluff, between Antelope Boulevard and Diamond Avenue, in the coming weeks.

Starting in early February, bridge joint replacement operations will begin. I-5 motorists should plan for nighttime lane closures on and around the bridge area Sunday nights through Friday mornings between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This work is planned for approximately one month.

I-5 Work Includes…

Concrete barrier (k-rail) will also be placed between the #2 lane and the shoulder of the bridge (both northbound and southbound) for the duration of this work. While no lane closures are planned during daytime hours, motorists should drive slowly and watch for personnel working behind the k-rail.

This work and the schedule are subject to change at any time due to weather, temperatures, or other factors.
